About This Cocktail
A stirred, brooding take on the Negroni built around Amuerte Red and a generous measure of smoky Mezcal Vida. Del Professore white vermouth replaces the traditional sweet red — softer, drier, more herbal — letting the Martini Bitter carry the spine. Stirred cold in a mixing glass and served over a single 5×5×5 cm Amuerte-stamped ice cube, slow-melting and architectural.
Ingredients
Per Cocktail
- 20 ml Martini Bitter
- 25 ml Amuerte Red Gin
- 30 ml Del Professore white vermouth
- 20 ml Mezcal Vida
Glass
- Tumbler Nude
- 5×5×5 cm ice cube with Amuerte stamp
Method
Build the Cocktail
- Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass with ice
- Stir until ice-cold and properly diluted
- Strain directly into a tumbler over a 5×5×5 cm Amuerte-stamped ice cube
Stir for a full 20 to 30 seconds — a Negroni without proper dilution drinks sharp and unresolved, and this version, with mezcal added, needs even more water to settle. Place the stamped ice cube in the tumbler before you strain, so the stamp shows cleanly through the liquid from above — it's part of the presentation, not just a cooling block.
